IESO Transmission Planning Presentation

Guest speakers from the IESO (ieso.ca) will join us to present their outlook for future expansion with Ontario’s electrical transmission system.

IESO is the Independent Electrical System Operator and oversee Ontario’s “Grid”.

Topics include:

• Ontario electricity system 101 (history, what it comprises of now, etc.)
• Transmission planning/regional planning – outlining what we do in transmission planning and giving an example of a major deliverable (e.g. regional planning)
• Resource planning/Annual planning outlook – same as above for resource planning
• Co-op experience
